Mid May 2017
Happy Mother’s day to my mom. We may be 2000 miles apart, but the love will always be near.
Yesterday (May 13th) was the AMA Bike Night. Looked like there was an impressive turnout of riders. Solomons Sevens easily had 10 or so bikes out for the ride from our meeting in London over to Pickerington. The I-70 was a bit rough coming in about Hilliard area due to construction. We kept getting split up, but mostly maintained a grouping. I would have preferred a different route around the construction, but I know the group wanted to get over to the AMA. If I had a choice, I likely would have tried taking the 665 or some other back road. Met many people at the AMA thanks to the square and compases being on our vests. Lots of brothers from other lodges.
Today, I spent a few hours finally reviewing and setting up the video from the Horse Traders ride April 15th. Looks like the video will be about 11 minutes or so. Just need to find a couple music clips and then record some voice over. Soon I need to find a mic that I can plug into the GoPro so I don’t have to record the voice track later. It all takes cash, and I am not there yet with funds.
I also spent a few hours trying to understand how YouTube Channels work. I did not want to use my personal channel for the ride videos, so I created a Brand Account as R3M3JY. I drew up a potential logo that I am happy about, just need to rework it a little more. I took the letters of my name and arranged in the shape of a bike. It’s not as easy as it looks to do a YouTube channel as one might think. I mean, yes you can just upload videos really easy. But the difficult part is my lack of skill and knowledge so I can create a brand for myself. I’ll get there eventually I suppose!
