Not going to Rolling Thunder 2017

i would love to go to rolling thunder, but alas i have to be at work. yes, i could have asked for the days off to attend but I rather setup my vacation time to see friends in Utah that I have not seen in a couple years. Their kids have been growing up and I have missed so much, so Deb and I try to visit as often as we can. Last year I visited my friends farm in Wisconsin for a week so I guess I should not complain. Friends are more important than a ride to DC. It just makes me feel jealous that my brothers are heading out and I once again will not be in tow.

So what do I need to do to get to the point that I can attend many more of these events. I could quit my job, but you all know how well that would likely work for me. I could take a hit in pay as long as my employer would let me take extra days off with no pay. Not likely a choice that I have or can truly afford at this point in time. Or, just maybe you all can help me out. I keep seeing all these videos and blogs online and somehow people seem to be making money. I assume most of it is short lived, so I need to quickly understand how to make this last longer. I would like to earn a living making videos online and blogging about my travels.
